So, here I am spilling my guts to you. I also have been extra tired lately, no matter how many hours of rest I get. My middle is expanding again. So off I go to the doctor to check my hypothyroidism again. They upped my dosage of bio-identical hormones upon my request, and we will see where that will get me. Today is day 3 of no alcohol. I'm back from my vacation and the party is over. Time to tighten my seat belt and ready myself for the rest of my life. I want to feel good all of the time, not only when on a diet or cleansing protocol. A few years ago I was in that spot. The process of the negative self talk is always there, not just for those suffering extreme life challenges. So, off I go to use my own tools in the Negative Thought Pot. I must practice what I preach.
I'm sharing this with you because I want you to know I am in progress as a human. I'm not perfect and I'm not seeking perfection. The ideals I create in my head are my own, just as yours are. We are all making progress towards our more authentic, best selves. One tiny improvement or choice that serves our higher purpose is progress. We can celebrate that, not with junk food or alcohol, but with a mental nod of "YES." We can smile at ourselves.
I encourage you all to stop beating yourselves up for making a decision that isn't truly you, and love yourself for where you are, and for what you do good for yourself, rather than the opposite. That is where I am. This is my gauge right now. It feels great to share all of this with you. Thank you for allowing me to purge. I want you to go to sleep tonight knowing that you have made beautiful progress in your journey, a journey not towards perfection, but a journey towards you.
