HCG Basics
My journey to fat loss at 46 began with the research and experimentation with HCG. After the fat loss, I became a research junkie, and discovered other healing therapies for chronic conditions that have been swept under the rug over the past 100 years. Why? They were food based, and didn't make the money that pharmaceuticals and surgery did. I coach on all types of wellness goals, but HCG is where I started, so I give you here a short explanation what it is all about. Please research more on your own and do not be mistaken into using homeopathic HCG, which has no HCG in it at all. Use only prescription HCG if you decide this route is for you. HCG is a hormone found naturally in the human body. When women are pregnant, the body produces a lot more of it. If the pregnant woman is malnourished, the HCG finds the abnormal body fat on the woman and uses the fat as fuel to feed the unborn fetus. If a person is not pregnant and uses real prescription HCG, coupled with a very specific eating program, the results are rapid fat loss and muscle retention. Dr. A.T.W. Simeons developed this remarkable protocol to cure obesity in the world in the 1940s and 1950s. The original manuscript of his book, meant for medical professionals is called POUNDS AND INCHES: A NEW APPROACH TO OBESITY. It is widely available for free on line. The protocol I followed is called HCG Body For Life. It is the most effective and current in macro-nutrient values of our food today. It was developed by Colin F. Watson. You may find the exact protocol on his website as well as buy the guidebook there. Here is a short outline of the four phases of the protocol: Phase 1: Inject the HCG shot each morning or take the drops and proceed to eat as many fatty foods as possible until stuffed! This phase is 2 days. Eating lots of fat shows the HCG where to chase the fat in your bloodstream. Phase 2: This is the low calorie phase. Eat a very specific food list which is comprised of 550-750 calories. This phase lasts 24 or more days, depending on how much fat you want to lose. Still inject the HCG each morning. Phase 3: This phase is the weight stabilization phase. You add other foods into your eating plan now but absolutely no starches and no sugars. This resets the hypothalamus gland and sets the new weight your body wants to be comfortable at, which is the lower weight you are now. This phase lasts three weeks. Phase 4: This phase is the maintenance phase. It lasts three weeks. Here you add one starch or one sugar into your meals (if you like), and see what your body deals well with and what it is sensitive to. If weight is gained after eating a particular starch or sugar, one writes that down on their DO NOT EAT list. The above outline is a summary of the HCG protocol, not the entire detailed program.
