A traditional diet respects the foods that grow in the climate and in the season where one is living. If we consume a traditional diet, we see health improvements. Basically, we eat food close to the way God made it. A traditional diet honors the nutrient density and the goal is to keep as much goodness in the food so our body can easily absorb the vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins, and phytochemicals. Eating raw vegetables and fermented foods as our ancestors did ensures we will not suffer from the chronic conditions and diseases of our modern diet.
According to the Weston A. Price Foundation, traditional diets have nearly the same proportion of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. In traditional diets around the world there is a balance of all the foods and we are encouraged to eat the rainbow for the most absorption of antioxidants and for optimal immune building.
I have become a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation. I am enjoying the pamphlets and literature outlining the studies and wisdoms learned from them. Much of my own research which led to my writing of three books (so far) is in alignment with the principles taught by the foundation. It is nice to know that my own work has been supported for so many years. I wish I had known about this foundation years ago. I could have healed from my obesity and the conditions caused by my obesity much earlier.
Well, you cannot speed up understanding.
