According to my Vipassana meditation practice, happiness is a sort of result once one is lifted from former miseries and is liberated. The more we practice not reacting to cravings or aversions, the more we see things for what they really are. They just are. How we react to the facts are what can bring on the cravings and aversions. Think about that today as you go about your lives.
How can our physical life give us happiness? The choices we make in our physical day to day lives can increase our energy, good energy that grows exponentially. Then we can share more and more of our best selves with others, rather than our miserable selves. We all go on the misery hamster wheel at times. It is the stuff of bickering, self deprecation, and the activities around those. When we eat nutrient dense foods, sleep well, carve out quiet time, and move our bodies, we gain energy and begin to shift our world a little into a more positive space. Then we become the person with energy, energy, energy! The more energy we have, the more we have to give. Isn't that great? Be happy.
