I also woke up with a sleepy idea that arrived with a question: Why do we call our significant other BOYFRIEND or GIRLFRIEND? Unless we are young teens, it really doesn't make sense. Yet, throughout my adult life, I still have called my significant other "boyfriend" until we got married. So, today, I am asking you to rethink the concept and the word. Do they match? Is it less responsibility, commitment, and pressure to say those words? How about using grown up words like lover, partner, or sweetheart?
When we are inside for the shelter in place we have more time to ponder our thoughts, words, and deeds. We have time to allow the thoughts to really flow in free association because we are less busy. We have moments of pure imagination. What a blessing it is, to be able to really be with ourselves and our sparks of creation. What respect I have for all of you, for indulging me in the process of reading my works, whether short or long. I want to hear from you!
Thank you.
Sincerely,
KJ Landis
