Another Family Milestone

My eleven year old daughter calmly stated on Easter Sunday that she was going to go Paleo/Primal/Ancestral on Monday morning. I was shocked to say the least. I calmly said, "OK, Are you sure? You don't have to do it because your brother and I eat that way." She said, "Yes, I'm sure. I want to be 80/20, like you guys. I want to live a long time. I almost eat that way anyway because of what groceries you bring into the house."

I am very impressed with her independent decision, especially since she goes to a non-Paleo cooking school and camp. Hmmm, how will she maneuver that? She will find her way, I'm sure. Kids have a way of figuring things out once they set their mind on a goal.

After school today we went to a cafe. I ordered a coffee. Sage ordered scrambled eggs with raw cheese and bacon and tomatoes. No toast. Mama smiled!


What family shifts have you set an example toward and slowly but surely the rest of the clan has come around to embracing? I want to hear from you?
