We wrap so much energy and fear around the goal based care and feeding of our young that we sometimes lose the capability to enjoy them. We forget to blissfully experience or even acknowledge the exchange of energy, the stories and the wisdoms that they gift to us as well.
This brings to me the pondering of the soul. When we are born, we physically cannot control our bodily functions, our speech, and so forth, but our instincts are wholly in tact. We know how to eat, poop, and sleep. We can survive when these three things are taken care of by our guardians. We can thrive if love is thrown into the mix.
Well now I ask, what is going on with our soul? How large, complete, or developed spiritually is our soul at birth? Is our soul big when we are infants or children?
We are considered by many to be less than whole when we are smaller and younger than when we are grown up. We are not in control of our physical life yet, and not schooled yet. We have less earthly experiences and years on earth. We are dismissed by our elders at times. Some say that children are to be seen and not heard. Children are considered property in some cultures.
If one believes humans are reincarnated, or have chosen to be here when we were in spirit form, then we are whole, from birth, and we are so wise and have a plethora of gifts and wisdoms brought from the other side. Our youth are very capable of sharing the magical a-ha moments from the heavens or from other lifetimes, whatever you believe. It is a matter of , are we ready to listen?
Sit quietly for a few minutes with a little one and ask the youth the secrets of the universe. You may be surprised and happy that you did. I know it brings tears of joy to my eyes every time I do just that.
What do you think? I want to hear from you!
