Don’t reach for the sweets and sugary coffee! That will ruin your hormone response for long term energy. Even if everyone else at the office is on a muffin and coffee run, there are better options.
I suggest snacks with healthy fats. Eat raw nuts and seeds, or raw chocolate without sugar. My favorite brand is Lulu’s raw chocolate. They are truly fuel. Having hard raw cheeses like aged Parmesan provide healthy fats as fuel as well. Drink lemon water or sparkling water and add your own fruit for infusions. If you love your caffeine, have a coffee or tea if you must, but not a sugary filled Frappuccino or chai latte from a box store!
