Friends are like that. Close friends are like husbands and wives, like soul mates. We can sit in the park or at the beach on a blanket quietly reading a book, not saying a word and having the most fun at our party ever. The silence shared between friends is a constant party to contrast the heartache some family members or our own selves have bestowed upon us. Friends are a vacation and a resting place. I nestle there comfortably. They are my happy place. I know I must be my own happy place, but sometimes I am not my own happy place. I know when to ask for help. That does not make me weak. It makes me human.
