When we perform any sort of exercise there are pleasure hormones and feel good hormones released. This allows us to not only physically feel good, but also have a more upbeat and positive attitude about what is going on around us. We tend to see the glass as half full. If we exercise regularly, we regularly see a happier and healthier human. Movement gets us out of our head and allows us to focus on the physical details of the workout, no matter what type of workout it is.
The underlying causes of mental stress are many, and some behavioral disorders need to be attended to by a mental health professional. Seek out professional assistance if general overall well being does not improve with regular exercise, or if the impact and challenges of one’s day to day routine seem unbearable.
Having the opportunity to exercise need not be expensive or difficult. Sometimes a good walk can do wonders for our insides and our outsides!
What does exercising do for your attitude?
