Fall is upon us, and the sights, sounds, and senses are fully engaged. How do I transition to welcome the change in season and all that goes along with it?What I do to embrace the season is get out my essential oils of vanilla, coffee, cinnamon, and clove bud. I mix five drops of each in water and put them in a pot on the stove. I simmer them until the whole house smells of warmth, autumn memories and baking with my mother.I use a pumpkin spice candle for the bathroom too. It feels great to embrace the season. It calms me down after a long stressful work day. The ambiance in the home is important in the fall, especially with the pressures of the holidays approaching and the never ending to-do lists and family obligations (some of which we would rather not participate in). The change in ambiance from essential oils becomes almost magical in my household. It grounds me and my kids! I hope this helps. What do you do as a fall transition ritual or habit?
