The pump we get from having a personal best in a competition, or a great workout, or after our marriage vows are exchanged are also a flow of hormones, the pleasure hormones. The surge of energy may feel the same, but the hormonal response is different.
The pump is very real in all the scenarios. We may use them for our positive advantages. When we come down from the pump, we should remember to breathe deeply, simmer down, reenergize with meditation and some sort of food that is life giving and healing, and remember to drink plenty of water.
