I'm in the woods weekly on a mountainside very close to my home. San Francisco has a unique environment where it has lots and lots of nature, even though it's a big city. We have beach and mountain, literally at our fingertips.
I want to use my five senses. What do I see? I see gorgeous mountains, trees, birds, bugs, deer, and rabbits . What do I smell? I smell cypress, I smell pine, I smell wet wood, I smell grass. What do I hear? Birds, wet grass, and trees moving. I hear footsteps, I hear airplanes, people and wind. What do I feel? The wind. I feel the electricity in the air, actually, especially as I go through the different areas. I feel the pressure on my fingertips.
What am I tasting? I'm not tasting anything, but I do have the taste of my own sweat and saliva being increased in my mouth as I get more and more into nature. I encourage you all to get out in nature at least 30 minutes a day. Your body and mind will thank you for it. Your creative juices will flow along side of the sweat!
I want to hear from you! What are your favorite things to do that excite all of your senses?
Blessings,
KJ Landis
